Glad you like the idea. Of course your suggestion is nice, I had in mind that something like this would occur although we need to see how the music will flow by the time the little girl comes and treat it in a nice way. I will keep you update with the progress.

Sorry for the late reply.I was camping in Cyprus for a long time and I didn't have internet access, i just saw your message. Lets speak about the music. The idea I had so far is the following:
There will be two instruments. Most likely Contrabass and a low wind instrument, could be bass clarinet or French Horn. For the voices the idea we had with roderick, the director is to have a low male voice a medium low female voice and a voice artist. Gustav will be represented by the low male voice, and the consultant by the female voice while the Choir and the little girl will be performed by the voice artist, but also sometimes it will be a combination of the voices as well. Since the text features a lot of repetition and the performance will be on the staircase where there is echo, I thought that the instruments will create an atmosphere with long sustained notes and sudden bursts of fast notes, and the voices will be murmured, sung, spoken, etc and sometimes they will repeat themselves to define the mood. This is the idea I had so far if you have any suggestions let me know. I haven't started to put pitch material since I am still in Cyprus but I should start by the end of August. So far I have some sketches.
