naja ich war auch noch nicht fertig, es hat mit dem letzten Satz einfach gehapert, aber jetzt ist er da - das Mädchen fragt zum Schluss (vllt zum Publikum gewandt?) "Doch nicht so schlimm?" Thomas und ich wollten ja, dass das Publikum noch was zum Nachdenken hat und ich finde, dass der Satz nicht verrät, ob das Mädchen sich zum Schluss doch noch wohl fühlt oder nicht... Thomas will sich jedenfalls auch demnächst mit dem Choreographen in Verbindung setzen und ihm den Text zeigen!

Name: Holger Eintrag: es ist kein bisschen kitschig geworden und wenn ich mir das Publikum vorstelle, dann sehe ich es gerührt von diesem sehr persönlichen Einblick, prima.
Vielleicht ist es nicht so günstig mit eine Aufforderung ("komm mit") zu enden bzw. klingt das nicht wie ein Ende. Sollte nicht das Mädchen, das anfängt, (also Du) auch das letzte Wort haben? Und wenn Du einfach "ich denke an Euch" oder "Tschüs" sagst oder so?

Sorry for the kind of late reply -- I've been a bit busy lately...
Thanks for your story, I think it's very clear, no need to translate
it! I understand it's a very personal and important subject for you,
which is great. I think the main thing we should think about right now
is what form or style to put it in. I think it's very well written,
but right now it's kind of like a report, or an essay. This would be
fine for a speaking voice, which of course is a possibility. We could
have the text being spoken with instrumental music as an
accompaniment. For singing, however, the text would probably have to
be shorter and maybe in a different style. Perhaps we could think
about ways to dramatize it? The artist who will be working with us
will surely bring in visual ideas as well, I'll talk to him/her
friday.
I'm still not sure if I can come to Berlin this weekend, I'm hoping to
hear from Nienke and Anthony about this soon. It would be good to talk
about these things in person! I'll let you know.

Hey Thomas!
So you studied film? That's so cool - I'm playing theatre for years now and
I'm living for the stage and movies! Especially I'm very fond of musicals so
I'm very excited to hear of you that you're thinking about putting the
skript into a kind of musical! So about my text: I think that we could use
the story about my first exchange for the stage very well! The main point
was, that one should always get to know other cultures before judging them -
in my example I went to Kiew and thought "Well, they're probably really poor
and yeah they're from the east... well..." I admit - I had so many
prejudices! And my family was poor - and in the beginning I was so jealous
that all my ohter friends had gotten richer families... But after a while I
saw some good things in my family - they always tried their best to make it
comfy for me, but I didn't see it right from the start. The text I wrote,
deals with my feelings about the environment and shows the moment, as i saw
the positive side of being in Kiew and that family. So that little story is
very important to me, I'm always trying to experience other cultures now, so
that I can tell my peops at home - "Yeah you're right Americans really eat a
lot of fast food" (it's true!) or "No, French peopsare not conceaded!" Haha
I hope you got my point, I can talk about that topic forever...^^ Dou you
want me to translate
that story in the text? You still have the latest version of it, I didn't
change anything, because I wanted to talk with you about it at first. Yeah,
Holger was/is helping us all to get our texts as neat as possible! Yeah I
could meet you at the 6th! The 7th would be ok I guess, too, but my theatre
team and I are looking for a day for a rehersal so I'd like to keep the
Sunday open!

Hi Nicole,
Nice to meet you! I'm Thomas, from Amsterdam really, but now living
and studying composition in The Hague. I've done some other things
before going to the conservatory, I studied film in university and did
two years of Composition for the Media in a kind of art school, also
played in bands and worked as a web designer for a while. Now
composing all kinds of music is my main thing!
I've read your text that was sent to me by Nienke a while ago, I don't
know if that was the latest version. It looks very interesting! I
think you sound quite mature for someone your age... Could you tell me
your own thoughts about the text and what you'd like to express most
about it when it becomes a musical performance? As you probably know,
singing=2
0a text goes much slower than reading it, so this is quite a
lot of text for a performance of only 5 minutes! There will be another
artist collaborating with us, I will meet him or her next week, and I
think (s)he is a choreographer. So we'll have to think about how we
can transform your text into a musical and visual performance in an
interesting way. I'm very interested in any creative ideas that you
may have about this. I understand you are working with a writer on
your text?
If you're able to meet on the 6th or 7th of june, there is a

am Sonntag treffe ich mich ja mit Thomas und Anthony, da wollen wir besprechen, was wir mit dem Text machen wollen. Es sieht aber so aus, als ob wir die Kiew Geschichte nehmen würden. Unsere eMails kopiere ich dann gleich in den chatroom!
Ich persönlich finde es auch schön mal ab und zu vom "Fortschritt" wegzukommen, aber sobald ich wieder zu Hause bin, holt er mich wieder ein, Fast wie ein Fluch =).

Liebe Nicole,
ich hab noch nicht reingeguckt, ob Du heute was geschrieben hast. Die Internetverbindung hier aufm Dorf ist so langsam, dass ich mir genau überlegen muss, was ich unternehme. Meistens ist das aber eher ein Vorteil, das Leben findet hier sehr viel unabgelenkter statt. Man sieht das Wetter schon auf Meilen, ißt, was der Garten hergibt und fragt sich manchmal, ob die Moderne wirklich ein Fortschritt ist. Jedenfalls ist sie aber da, und mit ihr die Globalisierung des Theaterlebens inklusive unserer Texte.
Wie läuft der Kontakt mit Thomas? Ich überlege jeden Tag hin und her, ob ich was raten könnte oder sollte, und wenn ja was. Es lässt sich eine Menge anstellen mit Deiner Idee und Deinem Text, aber andererseits soll ich ihn ja nicht schreiben, und so schreibe ich Dir nur, dass er große Potenzen hat :-)
Ich kopiere das hier nachher in den Chatroom und vielleicht könntest Du das mit Eurer eMail auch tun. Irgendwie ist es schöner, wenn die anderen auch sehen, dass sich was tut.

ich habe Thomas den Zugang freigeschaltet. Als Autorin kannst Du übrigens auch selbst Leute einladen, Mitarbeiter oder Leser zu sein. Du musst nur im Menu die Freigaben aufrufen und dort die entsprechenden eMail-Adressen eintragen.

Das, was Du schon hast, ist eine gute Grundlage für die Begegnung mit den Komponisten am 10.
Ich würde nur noch den entscheidenden Punkt Deines Vorschlags, dass nämlich Austausch in eine bisher unübliche Richtung (und nicht immer nur nach USA, GB, Frankreich etc.) gefördert werden soll, noch mehr hervorheben, vielleicht auch mit Beispielen, welche Ziele besonders sinnvoll wären (Türkei, arabische Länder - da wird auch deutlicher, warum der Staat gefragt ist und Lieschen Müller nicht auf eigene Faust reisen kann). Das mit der EU passt dann nicht rein. Du kannst den Text auf Google jetzt auch so gestalten, dass Dus ausdrucken und mitnehmen kannst.

Außerdem habe ichs so geschrieben, wie ich mich während der Zeit wirklich gefühlt habe - naja schaus dir mal an. Ich hoffe es ist nicht zu lang sonst kann ich noch am Schluss etwas kürzen. Ich warte auf dein Urteil

Name: Holger Eintrag: Sicher wird das zu lang, aber das Problem würde ich im Moment noch ignorieren. Zum einen ist eine Geschichte so lang wie sie lang ist, zum anderen wird der Komponist vielleicht eine Lieblingsstelle haben, und zum Dritten ist es eine gute Methode, sich selbst gegenüber neugierig zu bleiben
